For over 35 years, I have been providing financial and estate planning advice for self-employed business owners, designated professionals, executives and families to ensure social and family legacies.

Some of my recent professional accomplishments include receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award from the Governor General of Canada for my planning with families who have special needs children, for my community fund raising efforts and for Canada. In 2007, I also received the Julia Award from Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

I have had the privilege to speak to several other special needs’ organizations including, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Canadian Down Syndrome Society, ALS Canada, Autism Ontario, Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 18th Chromosome Deficiency, Alzheimer Society Canada and the Peel Public School Board’s Special Needs Programs.

Kevin Wong

Kevin obtained his Master of Tax degree from the University of Waterloo in 2004. Since then, Kevin has worked closely with clients in a wide range of tax areas including tax planning for medical professionals and senior executives of large corporations, corporate reorganizations, cross border tax planning as well as regular compliance issues. He obtained his Chartered Accountant designation after joining MDP in 2007 becoming a partner in January 2013. “I specialize in curing tax pain,” says Kevin. “Although tax is inevitable, I always look for opportunities to minimize and defer it. I enjoy listening to the needs of our clients in order to develop a tailor-made tax plan.”

Her company offers comprehensive professional planning and coordination services, to both assist elders in crisis and help elders proactively plan for the future.

Susan holds post-graduate certification in Negotiations from Harvard Law School/ MIT and a Master’s in Business Administration with a specialty in International Business from Griffith University, Australia. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy specializing in critical care/trauma from the University of Toronto and taught in the Faculty of Medicine for a number of years.

Suzanna has been practicing law for over 15 years… her practice focuses on succession planning for both individuals and corporations.

Suzanna has vast experience in estate planning, including multiple will strategies, Henson trusts, and various other testamentary trusts. Suzanna, regularly works with accountants and professional advisors to implement business succession plans that will give effect to the interests and wishes of clients, while simultaneously protecting the business and the clients beneficiaries and successors.

Kavina specializes in clients with estate planning, estate administration and estate litigation matters. As part of the estate planning aspect of her practice, she assists individuals and professionals with the preparation of wills and powers of attorney, the implementation of tax-effective estate and succession plans, and establishing trust structures. Kavina’s estate administration practice focuses on obtaining letters probate, locating and liquidating assets and assisting with interim and final distributions to beneficiaries. Kavina also assists clients in resolving estate, trust and capacity disputes as part of her estate litigation practice. Prior to obtaining her law degree, Kavina spent over ten years in non-legal, business roles where she managed and consulted on operational and business initiatives for a wide range of clients in banking, retail, technology and other industries. Her pre-law career gives her a unique perspective as a lawyer and a solid business foundation which makes her relatable to her clientele.

Called to the bar in 2011 after graduating from Windsor, Kiran is a member of the Wills, Trusts, and Estates Group at Lawrence’s, where she practices estate planning and estate administration. She is also a member of the firm’s Litigation Group. She is proficient in drafting Wills, Trusts, and Powers of Attorney for Property and Personal Care and advising on various strategies to help clients distribute an estate with maximum tax efficiency. Kiran was successful enough to have brought cases into the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Lisa’s practice encompasses virtually all aspects of estate matters:

  • Estate Planning…comprehensive Wills, testamentary trusts, inter vivos trusts, POA for property & personal care, living wills, Will Agreements and the associated documents.

  • Estate Administration….advises executors & trustees about the responsibilities and guides them through estate administration of estate and trusts. Lisa also has experience with estates of a foreign nature including beneficiaries & foreign assets.

  • Guardianship Proceedings…Lisa assists persons and trust companies in becoming appointed as guardians for property and / or guardians for personal care of incapable adults.

  • Estate Litigation…Lisa has years of experience in a variety of estate litigations matters, contested passing’s of account, challenges of the validity of a Will, removal of executors or trustees etc.

  • Craig represents & advises trustees, beneficiaries, heirs, and dependents in the administration of trusts

  • Craig has significant experience assisting families with Special Need children and adults

  • Craig is a regular speaker and author of estate planning & planning for beneficiaries with disabilities. Articles have appeared in the Toronto Star, Armstrong on Estate Administration (Ontario) and the Law Society of Upper Canada.

  • Craig is the 2014 recipient of the Volunteer MBC John Huether Award for Volunteering Excellence

  • Craig was selected by peers for inclusion in “The Best Lawyers” in Canada 2016 in the field of Trusts and Estates

Sabrina enjoys helping clients create estate plans that reduce or minimize probate tax, ensure that estates pass in an orderly and appropriate manner to beneficiaries, and allow for an efficient ownership structure for assets. Sabrina also assists clients with estate administration matters and counsels executors of estates, trustees of trusts and attorneys for property and personal care.

Gosha Sekhon is a Trust and Estate Practitioner, specializing in estate planning services. Prior to launching Sekhon Legal Services in early 2020, Gosha worked with a major financial institution in its wealth Management and audit groups. She has been in the Trust and estate industry for over 14 years and has extensive experience with complex planning considerations involving incapable beneficiaries, small business interests and blended families. Gosha is a 2003 graduate of Queen’s Law School and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2004.

Shruthi Raman practises in the area of estates and trust law at Synergys Law, a boutique estates law firm in Toronto, which she founded in 2022. He also has extensive experience in WSIB Advocacy. Peter's only area of expertise now, is the Disability Tax Credit. (DTC) Peter, now has had tremendous success in appeals dealing with CRA.
